Xplorer 4 Life’s Weblog

Good times and bad times… wait … “it was the best of times, it was the worst of times”… I think that’s how Dickens started his novel. A Tale of Two Cities.

Ah, yeah first the good … I recently was introduced to an amazing man, Nik Halik, via a webinar by Alex Mandossian… I know not as cool as personally meeting someone face 2 face but oh well! Anyway, Alex interviews authors about their books and then sends you onto links so you can order the book.

Thrillionaire, that’s the name of the book and I was able to read a few chapters before the webinar …pretty amazing stuff. So I ordered the book and am waiting for it in the post.

So you’re probably wondering what a Thrillionaire is. It’s someone who has pretty much made a ton of money (multi-millions) and lives the life of adventure. This guy Nik seems pretty intense and focused… very cool :-)

On the not so cool note… “friends”… hmm, this is an interesting subject but do you ever really know someone? I had a little fall out with someone recently, it was pretty sad but honestly if you have something to say …SAY IT don’t let it fester for years then strike a poison at them! All-in-all I had a gut feeling for a few months the sad thing is that the reason for the blatant attack was pretty pathetic at the end of it all.

Back to happier things… can’t wait for Nik Halik’s Thrillionaire to arrive… will keep everyone posted ;-)

I don’t know about anyone else but I love to travel and find the next great adventure… so sitting around in a boring little town seems like a death sentence. Yup, I’m getting older as the birthdays creep up but with each passing day I actually feel like I’m getting younger. How does that work?

While all my friends are getting married and starting families I’m heading in another direction. I used to think that there was something wrong with that but the older I get the more I’m starting to realize that neither is wrong or right for that matter.

The best part about your own life is taking the moment to realize that their are a billion ways of going about it. The key is to do what you love and what you are passionate about… for some of us it takes a lot of twist and turns till we find it! And for me it’s kinda funny since no matter which path I take I always come back to the same thing.

So in essence there is no such thing as a wrong choice … it’s human to screw things up! The only wrong thing to do is give up and not find your passion… or stop before you reach your dream. I’m not saying it will be easy… life isn’t always easy but we all have choices and that’s what’s so great about life.

{September 27, 2006}   Life is an adventure…

Life is an adventure and on that road lies a destiny. The question is, did you take the right one? And if not can you change it? I hope so, otherwise…

My favorite question I can’t stand to answer is, “Where do you see yourself in x many years?”
I wish I had the guts to say, if I knew that I wouldn’t be sitting here talking about…I’d be one my way there.

Does anyone truly know? I don’t mean that I am void of dreams and ambitions… but they are not clear or at least they aren’t perfectly mapped out, yet!
I believe it would be nice not to have to contemplate at all and instead be in a hammock somewhere warm dozing off to the sound of the lapping waves as they hit the glimmering white sands, ah paradise.

But then again…this chipping of my keyboard would cease and this page would not exist in the recesses of cyberspace.

Life as I know it… or something like that!

So, what is this all about? Mere ramblings, I hope not! Hopefully this is the start of many things …for starters a remembrance of the places I have visited and those I hope to see.
And I have seen a mere glimpse Southern Africa, Europe, UK, North American West Coast.

In the past few years my main objective was to find out what I wanted do with my life.
I tried various different occupations – none of which I have enjoyed for more than a few months! Learning is the key to growth… and I beginning to believe that I’ll never grow up!

What else this about …

It’s about the travels I have taken since I can first remember. I love traveling. It’s my dream to get paid to travel and write about my adventures.

It is where I will write about adventures – past & present – honing my writing skills and perhaps provide an amusing look at travel. A creative outlet. To become an accomplished writer and travel the world. Too romantic, perhaps, or many be just a search to find what others already have.

Hopefully you as the reader will be able to enjoy what I have experienced.
